Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is your standard Lead time for custom scissors orders?

From the moment all the details related to the order are confirmed and we receive 30% of the payment for the order, the lead time is approximately 50 days.
We specialize in manufacturing reliable scissors, and have to require high-quality raw materials. The stainless steel used for our scissor blades is hardened and requires customization, which takes time. As well, each process of our scissors, from stainless steel cutting, semi-finished products, to finished product packaging, undergoes strict inspection, which also requires a certain amount of time.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ) for wholesale scissors?

The minimum order quantity for scissors is 5040 pieces.
We are a factory, and we do not maintain product inventory. All scissors require customization. If the quantity is too small, the non-production-related expenses will account for a large proportion, and the price of scissors will become very high. As well, we need to customize high-quality raw materials from raw material suppliers, and customizing raw materials has quantity requirements.

What is the mold cost for developing new scissors?

The cost of our scissor molds varies depending on the specific size and complexity of the scissors, typically ranging from $1,000 to $1,500. However, if clients can establish long-term cooperation with us and order a certain quantity of the product, we can refund this mold cost.

Do you charge for providing scissors samples?

If the sample is from our existing products, there will be no charge for the sample itself, but the client will need to pay for the shipping of the sample. Of course, if a deal is eventually reached, the client can deduct this cost from the payment for the goods.

What is the standard packaging for your scissors?

Our product packaging typically involves placing one PCS scissors into a PVC bag (which can be printed with information), then 12 or 24 PCS placing into an inner box. These inner boxes are then placed into the main carton, with the number of products per main carton depending on the specific size and weight of the product.

Can customized packaging be provided for the scissors?

Certainly, customized packaging typically includes colored cardboard, blister packaging, sets, and colored boxes. If required by the client, we can assist in designing packaging patterns based on their ideas.

Why don’t you accept orders that don’t prioritize scissors quality and only seek very low prices?

We have always been dedicated to producing reliable scissors, and we have established a consistent quality standard from top to bottom. Therefore, we can maintain stable scissors quality over the long term. If we frequently accept orders that prioritize low prices over scissors quality, the quality awareness of everyone from our management team to workshop workers will decline. This will negatively impact our factory’s product quality management system, and the losses will outweigh the gains for us.

What are your Trade terms?

The trade terms we cooperate with our clients on are EXW, FOB, CFR, and CIF. If required by the clients, we can also accommodate other price terms.

What is your payment method?

Our usual payment method is T/T. Once the price and product details are confirmed, the customer pays 30% of the payment upfront, and we then proceed with production. After production is completed and shipment is arranged, the customer pays the remaining balance. If the transaction terms are EXW, the balance must be paid in full before shipment. If required by the customer, we can also accept a 30% deposit plus L/C or D/P.

Which are the major ports closest to you?

The major ports close to us are Yantian Port in Shenzhen and Huangpu Port in Guangzhou. If we ship the goods tonight, they will arrive at the port tomorrow morning. Another option is Ningbo Port in Zhejiang, and it takes about 2 days for the goods to travel from our factory to Ningbo Port.
