Why does the lead time for our stainless steel scissors bulk customization order need to take about 50 days?

When buyers of stainless steel scissors initiate inquiries for ordering stainless steel scissors or negotiate with stainless steel scissors suppliers for mass customized production of stainless steel scissors, the lead time is an indispensable clause. The production process and quality control methods of various stainless steel scissors suppliers are different, and the production and the lead time of stainless steel scissors will definitely vary. But regardless, except for some stainless steel scissors suppliers who do products in stock and some suppliers who do low-quality stainless steel scissors, the lead time of most stainless steel scissors suppliers should be between 40 to 60 days.

So, what is the lead time for bulk customization of our stainless steel scissors? Our standard lead time for bulk customized orders of stainless steel scissors is approximately 50 days, with some large-sized stainless steel scissors requiring around 55 days.

We set this lead time based on our commitment to producing high-performance stainless steel scissors.

1)The need for customized production of high hardness stainless steel materials for scissors. We specialize in producing stainless steel scissors with reliable performance, and have high quality requirements for the raw materials used in the production of stainless steel scissors. Most of the stainless steel materials used in our scissors is high hardness 3Cr13 stainless steel. 3Cr13 stainless steel is not the mainstream universal steel in the Yangjiang’s scissors manufacturing industry. The mainstream universal steel is 2Cr13 stainless steel. Because 3Cr13 stainless steel is not mainstream universal steel, we cannot directly purchase the required 3Cr13 stainless steel for production on the market. We need to customize it from the supplier who produces 3Cr13 stainless steel, and stainless steel customization takes much time.

2)The need for quality control. Our quality control system is Total Quality Management (TQM), which runs through every stage of production to maintain long-term stability in the quality of stainless steel scissors. Every process of producing stainless steel scissors, from cutting stainless steel sheets, semi-finished products to finished product packaging, undergoes strict inspection, which inevitably results in extended production time.

So, the lead time we offer may be slightly longer than some stainless steel scissors suppliers, and some of our customers have also mentioned this issue. However, our long-term clients have recognized that the meticulous material selection process and strict quality control have slightly extended our production time, but can provide higher cost-effectiveness, making stainless steel scissors more competitive in the market, with fewer after-sales problems, and extending the service life of stainless steel scissors for end users. Therefore, accepting this slightly longer lead time is worth it. In fact, some manufacturers specializing in producing high-end stainless steel scissors have longer lead time than ours. So, it may not be a good thing if the stainless steel scissors supplier provides a shorter lead time.
